Your silence won't protect you

Maybe trauma dump #2 actually lmfao

I know my truth

Sue me

You can’t gaslight me now anymore

I remember who I was right before

And I recorded all your lore (lies)

You won’t break my soul

I’m telling everyone

I can’t remember if I said it already but ever since I started facing my truth, and stopped being a people-pleaser (meaning saying yes to me, and not yes to the detriment of me, aka no when I’m thinking no) I was sued (just threats) 123 times for public diffamation. :) And that, for a recovering people-pleaser, is a FLEX.

Just saw the video is 1:23 long hahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahhaha. Anyway.

The culture of silence is an universal virus but I have to admit, in Black culture it’s even worse.

Taboos surrounding crimes, dissimulated out of pride

My truth was my demise, their competition my disguise

Frankly y’all need to cry and let kids know they shouldn’t hide

Wolverines in sheep skins they wander in Mulholland drive

And if integrity and safety were prioritised

Then maybe traditions wouldn’t be infested with lies

If hope for sustainability and God’s still alive

Then maybe traditions wouldn’t be infested with lies

Uncles and cousins getting away with all deviances

Daughters and sisters running away with no allowances

Corruption and contorsions or morals

They emptying barrels

Cosplaying patriotism while

“Independant” Kountries on parole

Transmitted only orally so nothing’s written down

1982 our “president”, puppet with a crown

2025 rumours of divine “reelection”

Heartbroken at Bekolo’s dystopia cause what changed ?

Nothing.

In my personal little opinion, people need to speak out.
One of the most famous tactics of colonialism, and its pursuit to this day, is “divide and conquer”. I found out something this year, throughout my very toxic relationship lol but also, Nations Nègres et Cultures by Cheikh Anta Diop confirmed my instinct conclusion. My theory is, the very first tactic / step for colonisation is gaslight. And you’ll see that both are not so different, stay with me. :)

Gaslighting is in practice hijacking your focus and attention from point A (a truth) to point B (a lie), meaning splitting the connections in one’s mind making it difficult and/or impossible to make sense of one’s reality.

So back then, the dividing and conquering was both on a micro and macro level, of course within the tribes, sowing discord and causing havoc, encouraging ethnical

But first and foremost, dividing and conquering was happening within the indigenous’ mind.

I was just joking initially, making light of my trauma as per usual because that’s one coping mechanism I’m not willing to let go off lmao. That was me thinking out loud, singing about the long period of feeling stuck in shame for being a victim, and struggling to tell others and ask for help BECAUSE my Cameroonian mind did not even want to admit to myself that I was a victim (of harassment, emotional blackmail, heavy coercion, kidnapping and whatnot); and guilt for even finding myself in situations of abuse in the first place (both personally and professionally).

I’m not Jesus, but I do think that it’s funny how my spiritual journey and healing process is what I envision actual liberation and independence for Cameroon should look like. Again, the revolution will never be televised, this is not Hunger Games. It’s a revolution of the hearts and the minds, and the first step is making people actually understand that’s it’s okay to speak out, it’s okay to acknowledge abuse, there’s no shame in being a victim (of your government) because the government remains the 1%, and we the people are still subjected to mass brainwash.

Tell me why it’s 2025 and the president of Cameroon, has been in “power” since 1982.

Tell me why in America and Europe, it’s cheaper and more accessible for non-white people to buy fast-food, drugs and alcohol than fruit veggies and health care.

Tell me why in 2025 some countries (including Cameroon) still pay in FCFA.

I did not mean to burst out laughing. But ultimately, I’m very disappointed the definition had nothing to do with what I had in mind. My definition of pegged, figuratively, is still very relevant. :)

So yeah, they (France) got many countries on a leash still. While many African countries are finally demanding their due, running towards actual financial self-sufficiency, refusing modern colonialism (which is literally the example to follow).

But unfortunately, I told my Canadian brother and sister this yesterday and they gagged but, Cameroon remains one of the most colonised countries in Africa. People just don’t want to acknowledge anything. and without acknowledgement (admitting), there’s no identification (awareness), no understanding (education), and confrontation which leads to liberation.

If I had listened to my mom and studied politics at Sciences Po maybe I’d be able to run for president, but hey, I’ll make a song about it and maybe someone who runs for president will hear it and follow the point I just made.

If no one kills them before.

:)

Stay blessed
